Here is another up close and personal photograph while waiting for the start of the Opening of Parliament Parade in Cape Town. This time it is a portrait of a soldier’s eyes.

Hours before it all started, numerous soldiers were lined up along the streets where the parade will take place and I guess they must have felt a bit like animals in the zoo. People staring and taking photographs of them while they had to stare straight ahead.

Well, this soldier’s eyes wondered and we had a split second staring at each other, eye to eye, or should I say, eye to lens!?
